PUT YOUR BEST “FACE” FORWARD FOR THOSE SPECIAL OCCASIONS

To help you through the holiday season with all the parties & festive occasion here are a few tips on how to apply professional looking make up and make it last all day/night!

First cleanse your face and apply the right moisturizer for your skin type.

Second apply a concealer around your eyes and any other areas if needed, followed by your foundation.  If you have any blemishes or imperfections on your face try applying your foundation with a damp sponge, it will give you more coverage! 

Note: Make sure your foundation is the right color for your skin tone by asking a makeup expert for help, because you want it to blend with your skin and not make your face look too light or too dark.

Note: If your skin is oily, also invest in a mineral blot powder.  It will absorb the oil without removing your foundation.

Smooth out your eyebrows with a brow brush and do a quick fill in with your eyebrow pencil if needed.

For your eyes, first apply a neutral base eye shadow to your eyelids, followed by your color of choice. 

Note: To emphasize your eye color these colors are recommended:

     Brown Eyes  - Purples, greens

     Blue Eyes     - Coppers, bronzes, golds or other warm colors

     Green Eyes  - Plums opens your eyes up the best.

Follow with 1-3 coats of mascara depending on the finish look you are aiming to achieve.

Next, apply a nice blush or bronzer on your cheeks anywhere the sun would normally kiss your face…

Your final step is to take a neutral lip liner to line your lips and then finish with a lip color of your choice.

Note: The key to remember is if you want to emphasize your eyes, make sure to keep your lips neutral or if you're going to do brighter lips / red lips then downplay your eyes.
